A late Winter's day at the red shop

A look at a straight ink drawing I’ve done observing one of the buildings on our property. Originally built in the 90s, this shop has been an iconic addition to the farm ever since.

My father timber-framed this shop when I was a small child. It's been the subject of several drawings over the years as it holds many of my earliest memories. It's in this shop that I first learned to use tools and carve wood. ⠀

We later built on to extend it to the West and attached an old garage that was on the property to become the "Evaporator House" for when we made our own Maple Syrup.

This was done in my current sketchbook with 60lb paper and a pentel V5 pen.

Coming up I’m beginning preparations for Indy Pop Con in June 2019 as well as finishing up a few freelance jobs and restocking the blacksmith shop after the holiday rush. As I work on new pieces, I’m trying to steer into a new relm of personal work that is appealing in my store and at conventions. For a long time now I’ve struggled to make the two veins cross, but I’m giving it a good ol try.
