April 2019
This week I’ll be flying to Sacramento to shoot some photos and video on site with a client. I’m very excited to stretch my legs and work out of my house for the first time in a couple years. I’m thankful the marketing materials I’ve been making for our shop have been catching eyes, I’ve come to really enjoy it.
Back on the farm our new chickens and ducks are growing fast, and we’ve just started preparing the garden for this years plantings. We are keeping busy in the shop as well, with several new tools on the horizon just in time for the summer events, we carved out a little time to supe up one of our best sellers.
Below I’ve attached some pictures of our new fire starting kits.
We handforged the strikers out of 1095 high carbon steel, ensuring a shower of sparks to start your fires easily. The boxes are sourced from TDC, a craftsman in Wisconsin.
It’s not illustration, but I enjoy working in the blacksmith shop. I’m learning many new skills and the work doesn’t bother my arm like drawing does. Even after having carpal & ulnar tunnel surgery I still find it bothering me from time to time.
I’m excited about my trip to Sacramento and can’t wait to see what my client has in store for us. If you know of anything cool to do in airports during layovers, hit me up.
Happy spring to you and yours.
