I Love Muzzleloading
“I Love Muzzleloading” is a personal project of mine, dedicated to promoting the sport and history of muzzleloading firearms and their associated accoutrements. The project started as a small blog and grew into it’s own podcast and video series over 6 months. I’m a 5th generation muzzleloading enthusiast and I feel it’s important to see this American tradition continue into future generations. Muzzleloading is often sat to the side of much of the outdoor industry, I enjoy bringing it to the forefront with each publication.
I Love Muzzleloading covers a wide array of muzzleloading information. “Muzzleloading News” keeps muzzleloading enthusiasts up to date with monthly news on new products, the muzzleloading industry, hunting regulations, and local events. “Answering Instagram’s Muzzleloading Questions” assists newcomers to muzzleloading by answering their questions on how to get started and which products to use. While at the range I’m able to cover traditional and modern muzzleloading shooting by testing propellents, projectiles, muzzleloading firearms and the associated equipment.
The I Love Muzzleloading Podcast is currently the most listened to muzzleloading podcast. With two sponsors in THOR Bullets and Muzzleloader Magazine, I’m able to publish two long form podcast episodes each month. The I Love Muzzleloading Podcast interviews veterans and newcomers to muzzleloading culture to share their unique perspectives on all aspects of muzzleloading.
The muzzleloading community memebrs are, on average, around 60 years old, which leads to a lot of concerns about the sustainability of the sport for future generations. More than half of my audience is under the age of 50, with a large section of that half being around 30 years of age. I’m very optimistic about the future of muzzleloading culture in the United States.
