The Iron Ram
The Iron Ram was started by my parents, Mike and June Yazel as a small business dedicated to preserving traditional crafts and creating sustainably made, American crafts. My mother has always enjoyed fiber arts involving spinning and knitting her own yarn out of sheep’s wool, while my father is an artist in many mediums including wood, watercolor, oil, metal and glass.
As a part of the family, I’ve learned a basic level of each of the skills, but have enjoyed documenting each of the processes and sharing them online to aid in promotion and preservation of my parents’ abilities.
